Jim has decided that he is tired of "schlepping" (how do you spell that?) around too much extra weight so he has embarked on an EXTREME diet. I'm trying to help him as much as possible because I can certainly afford to lose quite a bit myself. Anyway, tonight we went shopping and came home and began preparing food for dinner. We had bought some steak and he was slicing it up into the right-size portions which was only about 3.5 ounces before it was cooked. That's not very much meat, by the way. It's about the size of the palm of your hand. Anyway, he was cutting it and of course, I had to give a few criticisms (see previous post about being critical! haha) So I said, "That piece there is too big because it needs to be about the size of your palm, DON'T IT????" (ok, i know that is improper English and should have said "doesn't it?") I repeated, "DON'T IT???"

Good luck on your diet you two :) Oh my goodness Mr. Reidhead I found a couple pictures from sea camp! Loved that place, we all had such a good time I will never forget that, you are such a great and wonderful teacher!! Hope you are doing well, keep in touch!
GOOD LUCK!!! Aunt Tamra you don't need to lose one pound you have always looked very nice. I think loosing weight is the hardest thing in the world to do so I'm with Uncle Jim I would much rather be eating a donut then a carrot.
My Dad decided about a year ago to slim down I'm not sure if he has made it; but last time we talked he was 10 pounds from being under 200. Those poor Reidhead men carry it all in there 'glove boxes' don't they
Good LUCK! You guys can do it. It really just takes a consistent and honest effort. My friends and I did this thing where we were accountable and wrote down every singl ething that we ate every day. We wrote down our exercise, what we did, for how long, etc. We all lost about 5 pounds that first month. You guys can do it, just stick to it. No cheating. Throw away/give away all the junk food that is bad so that you don't relapse on a weak moment/day/week.
If it helps weight watchers advises you to eat meat the size of your palm "After it's cooked" it should weigh between 3 and 4 oz's but weigh it after you cook it because it shrinks. It will allow you to eat a little more that you would if you weigh it before it's cooked. Any way I need to be on the weight loose journey again too! Good luck to both of you at least your doing it together it's so much easier than being the "Lone Ranger".
Hey we should have our own biggest loser challenge weigh in each week! See how we are all doing! I am with Uncle Jim 1000% I wish I had some baked goods as well! Keep up the great work. Aunt Tamara give me a break you look FANTASTIC!
I'm right there with you. After Kate was born...9 MONTHS AGO...I've never been back on track. So, it's back to Weight Watchers and lots of exercise. Good-bye donuts, M&Ms, cookies, all the really good things in life! At least for the next 40 lbs...

My diet advice is this: Instead of reaching for a dontit(donut), reach for your computer and keep those funny stories coming. They feed my soul! Now, if I would just read more and eat less, I could get rid of some of my lard.

I'm still laughing at the donut! (AS I can surely relate!) Good luck Jim!
Hi Aunt Tamra I was wondering if you wouldnt mind writing down one of your "birth stories" for me. I want to do a post for Amanda I think it would be neat to share one of our stories with her. Plus I think it would be fun to get to know you better. If you don't mind my e-mail is jcald27@gmail.com I understand if you are to busy so please dont stress about it!(a picture of you preagnant would be neat to have also)
Thank you
Jessica
Good Luck Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Tammy! It's hard! Your diet is really extreme and kind of scares me! I've lost 10 lbs. today and i'm ecstatic!!!
