White Mountains Indeed!!!

Wow, we've had something like 12 inches of snow since early this morning. It quit for a little while about 2:00 and then it started up again. I shoveled for a while when it quit and now there's about another 2 inches of snow where I had it cleared off. I don't know how Dana shovels so much snow every day in Utah. I did it for 20 minutes and was about to die. My back was killing me! Anyway, enjoy the pictures. The oak tree in the front yard had one branch that was touching the top of the snow on the ground. I hope it doesn't break off. It sure looks pretty with all the snow everywhere. They even sent us home from work today at about 2:30. Sure was nice of them to do that. But ADOT and the City crews could not keep up with the snow. It was just snowing too fast and hard. They say it could do this until 6:00 tonight but I don't see any sign of it quitting yet!

Mitzi almost buried up when she bailed off the porch. It was pretty funny so I had to clear a path for her. Poor thing.
You can see the oak tree's limbs are almost on the ground in places!
Self-portrait. What a cheesy grin. I was just happy to be home from work early.

UPDATE: look at the ruler. 17 INCHES!!! I measured on the railing on our front porch. Unbelievable and it's still snowing. My bet would be no school again tomorrow!

WOW!! That is so much snow! It sure did dump on you guys. That is nuts. Maybe you can go to a bridge and jump off it and the snow will go over your head. (Remember us kids doing that in Vernon?)
That is a TON of snow. It will be good for the spring and summer. Maybe it won't be so dry this year.

That looks so cool. I wish I was there to play in it. It looks like a lot of fun, that's for sure! That is a TON of snow. Did it snow that much 2 years ago that one weekend I came up from Mesa and I got stranded in SF that night? I can't remember--i was on pain meds and it's all kind of blurry. Anyways, keep warm! and have someone come shovel the snow for you.

I think the snow 2 years ago was a little deeper but this is a wetter and heavier snow than that was. That's why the trees are all laid over. It has a lot of moisture in it, which we need. Why were you on pain meds? I can't remember that. love ya Mom

Cuz he shattered his pinky!!!!

That is so much snow. I can't believe it. I'm in short sleeves down here at Thatcher! Sun is shining but I do wish I was playing in the snow drinking hot chocolate!

oh yeah, i forgot about him breaking his pinky. Like Ryan said, "He should just sit on the couch like the rest of us." haha Remember that? Sad but true. Actually, rustin, you are quite athletic and coordinated. Some of the rest of us aren't so much that way. You and taralee were though. Don't know how that happened! love mom

They got their coordination from me. I can read the paper, watch TV and run the remote all at the same time. Ha. This was one of the heaviest snows ever. This morning the trees were still loaded with snow and huge icicles were hanging from them. It's been a long time since I saw that. I was amazed at the beauty, but didn't have my camera and didn't think my phone would give it justice. Today the trees pretty much lost the snow, but our road is still real icy and it's cold. Dad
