We went to Rocky Point, Mexico for our Spring break. We left on Saturday morning and came back on Wednesday. Needless to say, we had a great time.
David and Paula (Jim's sister) and their oldest married son Daven and Krista went with us. We spent A LOT of time on the beach which is the best part of the trip to us. We just enjoy relaxing and sitting in the sunshine after the long winter, I guess. Here's a few pictures of us sitting and walking on the beach.

Say cheese, Jim!!! haha

David and Paula taking it easy.

Daven and Krista buying from the beach vendors. Have to have some new shades when you go to Mexico!!!

The evenings were especially nice on the beach. Here was our view of the sunset and the resorts next to where we camped. Quite the fancy places. We prefer camping. It's more our style I guess. More relaxed and informal.

Jim even caught a little siesta on the beach (until my flash woke him up!!!) haha
There are always fireworks and I tried to capture a few on my camera. Not the best but you get the idea. Daven had a great time entertaining us with his antics of lighting a short fuse on a big hunk of dynomite! haha
Then, this picture probably is my absolute favorite...."Which one looks the best on me??" hahaha

Sad, but we had to leave to come home. These were our last pics we took the day we left the beach. We always have to get one or two last pictures.

Now, to finish off this post...
We left Rocky Point about 9:45 Wed morning and didn't get to Show Low until about 12:30 a.m.!!!! Yes, I said A.M.!!! Mercy. Long story short, our truck broke down in Casa Grande. It blew an injector and blew oil/diesel fuel out the tail pipe all over the camper and truck. What a mess. Jim called Ryan to our rescue, AGAIN. So Ryan took his truck to his boss's house, got a flatbed trailer, then went to Paula's house and got David's other pickup. Ryan ended up putting his own pickup on the flatbed and pulling it down to get us in Casa Grande with David's truck. When he got to Globe to gas up, he realized he didn't have his debit card in his wallet. So he called Paula and luckily they had just left Mesa to head home. We had gone separate ways after we crossed the Mexico/US border. So they met Ryan in Superior which Ryan had enough gas to get there. They put $50 worth of fuel in the truck and Ryan came on to Casa Grande to find us. In the meantime, I had been feeling sick all day. I was running a high fever and was so sick by the time he got there at 8:30. By 9:00 p.m. Ryan and Jim had unloaded his truck from the flatbed, put Jim's truck onto the flatbed, and hooked our camper up to Ryan's truck. So we caravanned on home. Stopping along the way for me to get out and run to the camper to use the potty. Now I not only had a high fever, I had some major other problems. What a LONG day for us. Thank goodness for Ryan. He saved us again. He's always right there for us whenever we need him. This whole family would probably fall in a cravace somewhere if it weren't for Ryan!!! We love him so much. THANK YOU, RYAN.
And one final PS, I am finally feeling better this Saturday afternoon. Three days of being sick was awful. I'm glad to be on the mend again, that's for sure. I hope nobody else catches whatever bug I had!

i took one short nap and got snapped. Not fair! We had a great time. I enjoyed relaxing and eating the good fresh shrimp, shrimp cocktails, and tortillas, and my favorite fresh graded coconut ice cream bars. Yum Yum We also found literally hundreds of sand dollars in Cholla Bay when we walked out to meet the ocean at low tide. The most we have ever found along with several baby octopus. In fact, I found two dead ones in the shells we brought home. Major stink!! Then the pickup - it was so aggravating, but thanks to Ryan and his sacrificing, we made it home safely. He is our HERO.
Ah good ole Mexico! It looks like a nice relaxing time. Thats so crazy about the sand dollars. I remember me and Cody SEARCHED for hours to find some and we eventually did but not hundreds. That is just unbelievable. We'll go w/ you next time!
I'm so jealous! It looked like you guys had so much fun IN Mexico. NOT so much fun on the trip back. That is the pits. What a horrible way to end such a beautiful trip.
Looks like Daven and Krista had fun. Good thing you took Mitzi.
Hopefully we can go with you guys sometime. Brody would have loved it.
Of course you didn't forget Mitzi...
Ryan to the rescue, again?! He's always rescuing someone, huh?
And Jim, what a sport with all that picture taking.
