We met my Gaines family in Ruidoso, New Mexico the last weekend in June. On our drive over, we saw two huge elk in "downtown" Datil. We were so close that we could almost touch them. I jumped out of the truck and got this awesome picture of one of them. He was standing on one side of the road and I was on the other. It was so cool.
Rustin and I stayed up most of the night waiting for Taralee, Trace, and Brody to get there. Finally, about 3 a.m. we got a phone call from them but they couldn't find the road to the cabins where we were staying. So Rustin and I jumped in the truck and drove downtown to get them. The next two pictures were taken of Taralee and I after a short night of not very much sleep. YIKES! ;o)
The first thing Ryan did when he woke up Saturday was go to Taralee's cabin and pick up Brody. He hadn't seen Brody since he was six weeks old but Brody went right to him, no problem. I fixed some breakfast and Brody was totally happy to sit on Ryan's lap and let Ryan feed him.
Well, he was happy for a minute until he decided Ryan wasn't feeding him fast enough. Ryan got a kick out of Brody diving into his breakfast bowl face first!
We spent some time sitting around the pond at Rainbow Lake RV Park. We sure got some good visiting time in. It was so much fun to see everyone and rehash old times and make new memories, too.Nicole and my dad, aka Grandaddy.
I am sure it's not the case, but I've decided Glen must hide out when he sees me with my camera! This is the only picture I took down by the pond with him in it. He's standing behind my dad. Smile Glen! ;o)

Now call me crazy but I'm pretty sure there were other people there other than Brody. haha jk. I love seeing his pictures...the rest of us...well we're just old news.
Ok. I would love for you to take a picture of Glen, but when you don't....let's not put a nasty picture of ME with him in the background!! I knew I should've erased that picture on your camera. I did NOT think you would post it. Wow.
Other than that, I guess you did good. HAHA!! I am working on getting mine done. There are a lot of pictures, huh?
We had SO much fun with everyone. I am glad we could all get together when we did. Too bad we can't do it more. I say we should do it twice a year. Well, maybe that would be pushing it huh?? :)
BTW-I DIED laughing when I saw that picture of me sitting on Bradley. That was SO fun. Ha. He was so mad at me. :)I am glad I was in public or who knows what he would've done to me.
Nicole, I had to scroll through all these pictures twice to figure out which one you were talking about. haha Sorry about that. I didn't even notice that you were making a funny face. I should photoshop a nice smile on your face for you. hahahaha I can if you really want me to, but you might should just be content with it the way it is......;o)
