Let's start this post off with a video. I LOVE to hear laughter and Brody has the cutest little laugh.
Trace, Taralee and Brody came to Arizona this weekend to see Trace's little brother wrestle in the state tournament in Prescott. So we went down to spend a day and visit them as well. We had a great time and of course had to take a couple pictures. Well, maybe more than a couple. Take a look. Here's Brody watching cartoons. He loves cartoons.
Don't mess with me! :D

On Friday night Taralee and Trace stayed with his family so we got to keep Brody with us. He was so much fun and is quite the little entertainer.
Saturday actually didn't turn out to be that great of a day other than the fact that we got to spend time together which we totally enjoyed. But Nolen wrestled and he didn't do as well as he wanted. He was hoping to repeat his state championship but he didn't. He was so disappointed. He's a senior this year and we felt really sad for him. But he should be proud of his record. He has been a tremendous wrestler. But that was kind of a downer for everyone.
Then Saturday evening, we wanted to go out and eat but Trace was still at the wrestling tournament and Brody was asleep so Taralee and I went and ate and brought food back to Jim. So we are sitting in the camper after we got back and it started getting colder and colder. I went to the oven to light it to warm something up and it wouldn't light. We couldn't figure it out and Taralee said, well, maybe you're out of propane. Well, duh. Yes, we were totally out. No wonder it was getting cold in there! Here it was 8:00 and so we left to go find someone to refill our propane tanks. Drove around for two hours probably. NO STINKING LUCK. ARGGG!
Anyway, after wasting all that time, we finally went to Wal Mart which we had driven past 2 hours earlier, and bought a little electric heater to use. Then as we were leaving we saw they had 5 gallon propane tanks for sale so we got one of those. After wasting $70 bucks, we got back and hooked it up and it worked. The little electric heater kept the chill off, too, so it was a good investment I guess. But we were all grouchy because we had driven around and around and Brody was tired, Taralee was completely exhausted and Jim was turned around and couldn't find his way back to where we needed to be. It was a disaster of an evening. Anyway, after we got back and warmed up then we felt a little better. But then Trace called to find out where we were and asked for directions how to get to the place. We all gave him our versions of how to get to where we were and probably an hour later, he still hadn't arrived. After several more frustrating phone calls, he finally found us and made it in. So aggravating for him.
Anyway, so we were all doing fine and then all of a sudden some fuses blew because of the electric heater I guess. So Jim took the cover off the fuse panel to see what the problem was. So after figuring out the problem, he went to put the cover back on and apparently, he touched the wrong thing with the metal cover because sparks flew out at him and he got shocked and the cover flew out of his hands and he was totally caught off guard. Then of course, I started laughing..... and laughing and laughing. I was still laughing when I got in bed and he mumbled something under his breath about me being "evil." hahaah
I'm sorry that I inherited this sick Gaines sense of humor but it is deeply ingrained in me and I cannot help it. Anyway, Taralee said I needed to blog about this "vacation" because if any of you remember a blog post that Danica did last year, she said that "every family vacation we have ever been on has had a 'well hell" moment. ....EVERY VACATION."
Well, Danica, you would not be disappointed because this "vacation" was no different from any of the others. hahaha
I guess we'll end like we started...with a video of Brody's cute little laugh. His daddy can get him laughing like none other. :D

ha ha ha. It's so funny looking back! Seriously- and dad jumping out of his pants cause he thought he was going to get shocked to death...and then you laughing and him calling you evil. ha ha ha. It still cracks me up.
It was funny when we were walking into the Wal-Mart I said, "hmm...another Reidhead Well Hell moment!" ha ha.
It was so great to see you and spend time together. Thanks for taking me out! I really did have SO much fun. Thanks for always making me feel so special.
I love you guys!
I FINALLY had a chance to get on here and see your recent posts. Man, it took me awhile to read through all of them--I think it has been longer than I thought. Poor Jim--he seems to be the brunt of a lot of jokes. haha! Sorry Jim, but I probably would have laughed too--I just can't hold it in for long. :o) That little Brody is a cutie.
Oh, Tamra! You make me laugh like your daughter makes me laugh-- til I'm crying! The Porters have some doozy vacation moments, too. Now I have a definition for them. The coldest night I ever spent was in a camp trailer in Albequerque NM. When we arrived late at night there was no propane in the tank and we didn't know where to get any. Lon plugged in an electric heater and tripped the breakers. Five of us spent the night in a full size bed. What we didn't know until the next day is that it tripped the breaker in the building where the big extension cord was plugged in and knocked out the heat for some other campers too. They probably remember that as an "oh hell" moment as well! Thanks for sharing your daughter and grandson with us!
The letters are out of chipboard that you cut out on diecut machines. Then you spray paint them black or whatever color. Simple as that.
if you click my blog where it says, "this"...it is a link and will take you to the dress. Welcome to 2009. ha ha. j/k.
