Reidhead reunion

Consider yourself forewarned. There's lots of pictures in this post.

We went camping over the weekend with the Reidhead bunch. It was so much fun. The weather was nice, a bit windy, but nothing too serious. We sat around the campfire quite a bit and wore our jackets but it was really very comfortable.

Helen, enjoying the delicious biscuits. Everything we ate was good, actually.

The patriarch and matriarch... Doy and Leone.

Nobody really likes to have their picture taken while camping. I mean, you can't even do your hair, but oh well. Who really cares? It's nice to "let it all hang out" for a while.

We drove up to Greens Peak and some of us climbed to the top of the lookout tower. Check out the view. It was quite windy at the top but it was worth the climb.

Here's some of the group that didn't make the trek to the top of the tower. It was quite a climb and I can't say I blame them for not wanting to climb it. (By the way, does anyone want to buy some good tires? I know someone who has a set to sell.)

The kids had fun climbing in the hollow tree.

Kiley and Abbie's baby Kelton. He's such a cute little boy. He looks just like his daddy. And his sister Riley looks just like her momma. Very cute kids.

Ryan and Callie. (Is that a good grape, Callie?)

Diesel playing with his dump truck. What a cute boy. You never even know he's around.

After we loaded up on Sunday, we drove down the road a little way and stopped to visit our friends the Whipples, who were camping also. We ate dinner with them. They cooked some delicious spaghetti and stuff to go with it. Of course, we ate until we were stuffed. Chris is a good cook.

Right in the middle of cooking dinner, though, they had a problem with their water pump. Jim and Pete crawled under the bed and started disassembling the water pump. They had it almost taken apart when Pete looked at the water tank itself and realized that it was completely empty. haha We had a good laugh out of that ordeal. Luckily, we had an extra barrel of water with us, so we filled their tank for them before we left. Chris was worried about getting a shower. No worries about the dishes, but a shower is definitely a top priority when you're camping. haha We always have a good time when we're with the Whipples. Nothing better than good friends.
We've been on several vacations with these people and we're still friends. haha Never a dull moment.
That's it for the camping. Enjoyed the food, the family, the friends, and the fun!!!

Golly this looks like so much fun. I haven't camped with a group in so many years. It's also so neat that you have friends like the Whipples to have fun with.

Enjoy the rest of the summer!

It was a rough time in my life but the good ol' Show Low 2nd Ward was such a blessing to me (including and especially you!) So once again, thanks. You are such an example to me and I love your blog!
