Saturday afternoon, Mike's family had a little Easter picnic. They invited us, so we made a salad and some brownies and headed to Holbrook to the old farm. We sat outside for a while but then the wind started blowing too much so we moved into the shed. Here we are sitting around after eating our lunch of steak, salads, dutch oven potatoes, cobbler and homemade ice cream. Most of the food was thanks to Kiley. He's quite the camp cook!
Here's Kristen giving me the "evil eye" for taking her picture. :)

Baylor,
or Balor. Not sure how they spell his name but he sure is a cute little boy!
Jim and I drove to Buckelew Springs Sunday afternoon to check out the waterfall. Well, when we got there, we could barely see a trickle of water coming over the rocks. I had to point out the water dripping before Jim could even see it. Then in less than a minute of us arriving there, all of a sudden there was a bigger stream.

Then it just kept getting to be more and more water coming over the fall. Before long, there were two streams falling over the rocks.

Apparently, the snow melt from higher upon the mountain just barely arrived after we got there. It was fun to see that. Perfect timing I guess because I've never seen such a thing like that happen before.
I found this old hollow oak tree. We think there was probably a possum hybernating in there. But we couldn't get him to come out and say hello!

Ah yes. . . . good Old Holbrook and the wind! Can it be Spring there without it? I remember one year when it blew night and day for about six months without a break. I thought I would absolutely lose my mind!!! The pipes on the house and the power lines were all howling, out of tune from each other . . .aaaggghhh!
It is fun to see Kristen. I haven't seen her since Crystal reception.
Loved to see your lovely Easter time with family and especially loved your pictures of the spring and waterfalls! WOW! What timing! Do you mean "vase"? I'll email you of my happenings lately!
