Cole's turning one

We had a little informal "non-birthday" party for Cole today. He's turning one in a few days so since he was here visiting, well, it just seemed like the right thing to do~!

Ryan and Kacee and Bodie came to the party, as well as Cody's sister Melinda and her family. It was fun to have them all here. I took a few pictures, of course, while we were eating hamburgers and enjoying some cupcakes.

Here's Cole in his birthday hat. He kept looking up to see what was on his head. haha

Stink bug crawl. The sidewalk hurt his knees!

Cole's little birthday cupcake. He sure wanted to touch that flame!
But he really enjoyed eating the cupcake. He was so proud of himself.

Ryan helped unbox all the toys. He had to play with them first to make sure they worked like they were supposed to. ha
Opening presents.

He loves his new Lightning McQueen car.

I never read posts about a baby's first birthday...sorta like avoiding the fire. I had to click and see how you celebrated Cole's first birthday! I am so happy for him!
He is such a handsome little boy. A tradition in our family is to buy a first rider for the first birthday. I am excited Cole got one! Ryan reminds me of our Uncle Roy...he has to "test out" aka play with the toys! Happy Birthday!!
