Danica and Cody came up to visit this weekend. We had a fun time, as usual. Friday night we went out to eat Mexican food. It was OK. We ate tons of chips and salsa, our favorite part of the meal. It was delicious.
On Saturday we slept in a bit and then went to Wal Mart to buy some material for the back of Danica's levi quilt that she had pieced together. She is so amazing at that! She picked out some really cute bright pink and yellow material and some yarn that matched so perfectly. It turned out beautiful. We tied it off that afternoon and got the binding hemmed that evening. She tried to do it on the machine but got kind of frustrated with it, so we just hemmed it by hand. With both of us working on it, we had the hemming done in about an hour. Jim and Cody drove out to the farm while we were working on the quilt. By the time they got back we had the quilt done and ready for hemming, so then we went to town. Danica found some cute things at Penneys that she bought. They had some good sales going on. So that was fun to shop for a bit. Then we ate again, came home, and then watched a movie. It was called Dejavu. I didn't really like it that much but it was OK. Kind of different from what I usually like. It's one of those movies you really have to pay attention to.
The finished product. It turned out so cute and colorful!
Anyway, Sunday we got up and went to church and took a few pictures, too. We had a fun time and then of course, they had to leave. That's always the sad part but we were glad they got to come up and spend time with us!

Danica and Cody. Isn't her new skirt and blouse so cute?
