Typical time spent in NYC, in the subways. Can't you tell Jim enjoyed every minute of it? haha

This is a huge cathedral, St. Johns Cathedral, I believe. It was beautiful but was being renovated due to a fire that destroyed a lot of it a few years ago. It is finally opened again so people can go inside, but much of it is still being worked on. But it was beautiful to see the architecture.
Jim and his "brown bag." haha --sitting on the bus.
This picture is of the Manhattan skyline. I took it while we were on the ferry going to Staten Island.

Ground Zero was totally under construction so we couldn't really tell much about it. But I took this picture and another one of a sign on a building so we would know we'd been to the World Trade Center.

Another picture taken while waiting for the subway. It sure felt good to sit down for a minute, even though it was hot down in the subways. The big black bag had all my purchases in it. ;o)
We went to Church on Sunday. I think it took us over an hour to get there between the subways and bus rides. It was a brand new beautiful building, five stories tall. Lots of young single adults there and they ALL know Rustin!
This building was next door to the church. I took a picture because it was called the Claridge House, so we thought that was cool and took a picture of the Claridges standing next to it.
Time Square was fun, especially at night. It felt like daylight with all the lights and jumbotrons.

The views from the top of the Rockefeller Center were awesome. You can see the Empire State Building looking to the south. Then looking to the north, there is Central Park. Farther north from Central Park, and to the west a little bit is where Rustin lives. It's quite a commute for him to get to school each day.

This is the NBC News building. The Today Show is broadcast from inside those big glass windows. Then we went into the NBC Store and took a picture of the NBC Peacock which was filled with colored M&Ms. So cool!
This picture was taken in front of the Today Show windows also, but at night obviously.
More pictures on the ferry ride.
Well, happy travels, everyone. If you get a chance to go to New York, just be sure to take some good walking shoes and you'll have a great time! The only other thing you'll need is a good tour guide. I hear Rustin is always available!
