Wow, I was totally exhausted last night. We worked for about 12 hours on our room yesterday. We got a lot accomplished. It's amazing how much work and time something so small takes. Plus we're not that good at constructing things. Jim is actually pretty good at it although he doesn't think he is. I just hammer things up wherever he tells me. My arm and hand is pretty sore today as I hammered up all the sheetrock. Yesterday morning, Jim finished framing up a few things while I worked some more on closets and getting things organized. Then when he finished that part, we went to Home Depot to get sheetrock and a few little supplies we needed. When we got home, we started cutting and pounding. So here are a few pictures I took last night when we finally quit working at 8:00. I was too tired to cook so Jim went and got us a pizza for dinner.
The first picture is taken from inside our new closet toward our bedroom.
The other three were taken from inside our bedroom. You can't really tell much about it I guess. But our bedroom door is to the right of our bed and it goes straight down the hallway now.

Anyway, we'll be glad to get this project finished. We have to tape and texture the sheetrock and then paint. Then we have to decide what to do about the carpeting.
Sheetrock is such a mess to work with. I have to cover all my furniture with sheets to keep the dust from getting all over it. Then when we're done, we take the covers off, and then we have to vacuum up all the dust and stuff so that we can sleep in there. Amazing the amount of dust that sheetrock causes. Taping and texturing will be almost as bad. But it's gonna be nice and I'm excited to get it finished in the next few weeks. Hopefully we can keep our energy going and get it finished soon. The closet is going to be awesome as well as the bigger bedroom.

It looks soooo cool! You are going to love all that new room! The closet is just going to be so nice for you all! I can't wait to see it! Don't overdue you two! That rhymes! Are you not impressed?
It will be nice to have a cealing fan in the closet. On those hot summer days you can just go in there and turn on the fan and pick out your clothes....without sweating to death. NICE! :)
It looks like it's coming along though. You'll have more room than you'll know what to do with. Maybe when Brody comes and stay he can sleep in the big closet! ha ha. j/k.
You are so fortunate to have a house that size. It is too expensive in Flagstaff to have something like that. We are converting our 2x6 closets into bedrooms!!! We found a secret passage way in the bottom of a closet that goes to the crawl space and we are trying to talk Payce into living down there for more room! Just kidding. My kids think it is the starting of a treasure hunt like on The Goonies. Maybe if the spiders and snakes are golden I guess that would do but they are too afraid to go down!
