Utah Picture Overload

Just so you know, there are tons of pictures here. We made a quick trip to Provo over Labor Day weekend for Taralee's 25th birthday. We left Show Low after I got off work and drove all night and finally got there about 3 a.m. Talk about tired. We went to bed, slept for a few hours, then got up and played with Brody, of course. Taralee and Trace fixed us some delicious crepes for breakfast. So yummy. Quite the cooks, those two. They make a good team.

After breakfast we got ready and went to town and shopped a bit for Taralee's birthday, which was lots of fun. Then Trace had tickets to the BYU-Northern Iowa football game. Here are pictures of us at the game. By the way, it was a good game. BYU won. Trace's cousin who went to school here in Show Low with Danica plays on the team. His name is Stetson Tenney. I didn't get a picture of him though.
Here are two pictures of Coach Lavell Edwards who coached many winning seasons at BYU. (He is the older bald headed guy.) He carried the BYU flag into the stadium. The stadium is named after him.

You'll notice the bright sunny skies. Well, it was hotter than hades in that stadium. I thought Brody and I were going to pass out. haha He was a real trooper though. We finally left where we were standing right down in the sun and went up to our real seats which happened to be in the only small shady section in the whole stadium. Thank goodness for that. Here's Brody after the game in his car seat, happy as ever.
Brody loves dogs and he found a buddy with Mitzi. He just loved to pin her down and give her hugs. I'm not so sure Mitzi loved it that much but she was very good with him.

Here he is trying to wrestle her. Looks like he got a "pin." haha
Brody loves his high chair and loves to eat. When he finishes drinking his milk, he goes "aahhhhh." It's funny.
Taralee bought Trace a present while we were shopping. Nice PJs, Trace. Now you're all set for winter. (They even glow in the dark!!!)
Brody loves Oreos and doesn't mind making a mess with them!
Here is Brody all dressed up in his Sunday clothes. How cute. He was standing by the fridge trying to get it open. When he wants something to eat, he clicks his tongue. He has no problem communicating.
After church, we fixed tin foil dinners and went up to Hobble Creek Canyon and found a pretty spot to cook them. We had a great time, even with the rain that fell. We just pulled up our hoodies and enjoyed ourselves.
What a sweet little family!

I wouldn't really hurt you, Trace....

Dirty little boy, but isn't he cute?
I love this little picture of Brody looking at me.
After our picnic in the canyon, we stopped by Dana and Gene's house to visit. Chad and his family were there. We were too late and missed Jared and his family unfortunately. I felt bad that we missed them. We were too late getting back from our picnic and they had to head home.

Dana and Joseph (Gene on the phone in the background.....he sure stays on that thing a lot!)
Chad told me I could post this picture on my blog and call it "Mr. 740." haha
(Get it? 740 on his GMAT score????)
Kailee and Adelaide. What cute girls.
The day we left, we woke up to snow on Mt. Timpanogos. What a pretty site. We love that mountain. It is just beautiful! But boy it sure turned cold in a hurry. From burning hot at the game on Saturday to needing a coat on Monday!!!

We headed home Monday afternoon. We got a later start than we wanted but that was OK. We enjoyed more time with the kids. And we got to bring Brody home with us!!!! Can you believe it? We had so much fun on the drive home with him. He was such a good little traveler. He loves to tease and laugh and make me laugh at him. We made a stop in Moab and got out for a bit and let him play. He stopped long enough for me to get a couple pictures of him posing on this rock. What a cutie he is.
We stopped again in Blanding to let him play on the slides. He has no fear of going down those huge slides. I helped him climb to the top and he went down each one and was ready to go again and again.
Brody really liked the swing the best though. I wasn't brave enough to give him an underdog like his mother does but he liked it anyway.
Last picture was on the way home as the sun was setting over the beautiful Arizona horizon. (Sunsets in Arizona make an otherwise dreary countryside actually look very beautiful!!!)

Oh goodness! I love all those pictures. Brody is so funny. The ones of him and Mitzi are hilarious. He sure loved that doggie...and ALL dogs.
I hope you enjoy him in a couple of days. I miss him like CRAZY. It's way to quiet around my house. I miss my little guy A LOT. Only 1 week to go. It's going to go by so slow.
Have fun with him though. Don't be afraid to spoil him! :) ha ha.
And have fun showing him off at church.

I love that he tackles mitzi. The most attention that dog has ever got. She was probably scratching like crazy. I'm glad he got to come home with you. I wish I could come see him but dang work!
