As a parent, well, I'm not sure I was that good of a mom. I guess I tried my best but there definitely was room for improvement. I sometimes wish that I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less. Anyway, it's too late for that now but even with all my shortcomings, my kids have turned out to be hardworking, decent, fun loving and wonderful adults. One thing that makes all the hard work of a mom or parent worth it is to get a note from one of your kids expressing their love and gratitude for you and all you tried to do for them. Today was one of those days because we got this handmade card from Danica expressing her gratitude to us. She's so talented and ambitious and tenderhearted. We love her with all our hearts! Thank you, Danica for the beautiful card. Love you lots!

She might be a great mom, but she sure can laugh when misfortune befalls someone. Just look at her blog from above. She even laughed harder typing it then she did there in person observing it all. The guy next too us said "that is what I call getting into your work." She just laughed and laughed. Then Pete called me anonymously and asked if Gracie is there. I said, "Gracie doesn't live here." He said, "I was reading a blog and I'm sure you sound like Gracie." Ha Ha. Everyone gets a laugh at my expense! It was funny and I felt rediculous. Haa.
Sure wish i could have been there for that one, ha ha.
You know, pretty much every time I think about your kids I think about what a good job you guys did.
What a cute little note. Danica always does thoughtful things like that. I, as well, think about you daily and how you were SUPER mom and able to handle a million things at once...and never seem frazzled (most days. wink, wink!) I have learned so much from you and look up to you WAY more than you probably think.
yeah, wink wink is right Taralee. Looking back, I think I was frazzled on MOST days. oh well. Maybe I faked it pretty good! haha
