Ryan

Our oldest is 29 year old, if you can believe that. I sure can't! He's been such a blessing to our family and we always enjoy having him around. He pops in once a week or so to say hello (and usually to do some of his laundry). It's fun for us because he's the only one of our kids that lives close enough to do that.

I hope that Ryan has a great 29th year. He is so ambitious and hard working. He loves to help other people and it's not unusual for him to drive lots of miles to help out wherever he's needed. He has bailed us out of several jams over the years and we are so thankful for him. Happy birthday, Ryan. We LOVE you!

Here he is lighting and blowing out a few candles. haha Jim made him a "cake" out of peanut butter kisses. He LOVES those things. We also fixed him his favorite breakfast for dinner tonight, french toast and homemade syrup, bacon, eggs. Our family all loves to eat breakfast at night.

He blew out the candles too quickly for me to get a picture of all the smoke, but trust me, there was some smoke....just like when he leaves the party in his truck....LOTS of smoke! haha

Now, just a quick note about Roxie.

Check out her ears....
She has one ear that stands straight up. I thought for sure we had a schnauzer puppy with floppy ears, after having Mitzi whose ears both stood straight up. She had HUGE ears. Looks like Roxie may end up the same way. Or at least one of her ears will be like that. (By the way, she LOVES Rustin's Love Sac. She is always climbing on top of it when I'm not looking.)

Tell Ryan happy birthday for us! It is easy to see the little boys in the grown up versions, but your girls sure changed! It is weird when your kids start hitting 30, I am still getting used to it, and never let Mariah forget ;-)

Roxie is sure a cute little beastie!
It would be cute if one ear stayed up and the other lopped, seems like it would fit her personality!

How do you make your homemade syrup? It has been years and now I can't remember how I made mine, don't want to start out the hard way, too lazy!

I can't believe Ryan is 29! If he is that old than I must be getting older myself! I hope he has a great year as well. Happy birthday Ryan.
