More Christmas stuff with the Reidheads

On Christmas Eve morning I got up about 8:00 and was sitting in the family room. I heard a funny noise like someone jiggling the door knob. Then I heard this faint knock. So I got up to see who was at the door. Before I got there, they rang the doorbell. I looked out and saw a white car and couldn't figure out who would be here at 8:00 in the morning. I opened the door and it was Taralee, Trace and Brody. They had arrived 1 day early and surprised the heck out of us! What a fun day we had. We enjoyed having them here all day long and of course, played with Brody and enjoyed seeing his new antics. He's quite the little character. Ball-crazy character. haha He loves to play with any kind of ball. throw it, hit it, kick it, whatever. haha He's a little nut.

Then that evening we went to Holbrook to Jim's parent's house. Danica and Cody met us there as they got off work too late to come to Show Low first, so we were glad they got there early enough to enjoy the evening with us. Anyway, the family decided to take a couple of pictures. together. The first picture is with the siblings and in-laws and the second is just the siblings with Doy and Leone. Teele was the only sibling who couldn't be there with his family. But it was nice to get a picture of those that could be there. It had been several years since this was done.

Of course, after we took pictures and had dinner, we had the traditional gift exchange which was fun. I only took a couple of pictures at the party. I don't know why I didn't take more. We sang Christmas carols and had the little kids act out the Nativity which was really cute. Here's Taralee waving for the camera. haha
Danica and Cody waiting for dinner...
Troy and Kodi Mortensen (Mike's daughter) and Taralee.
Brody got a rocking horse from Uncle Tom. Tom made it himself and Brody loves it. It is bigger than Brody!
On Christmas morning we got up about 8:00. We had to wait for Brody to wake up to open presents but it was fun. Brody was most enthralled with some tootsie roll suckers he found in the 72 hour emergency kit I put together for him. haha It was funny. He LOVES suckers.
Here is Brody's little schnauzer puppy, Fergie. She is so cute. She is very smart and fun. Jim gave her her first haircut. such a cutie.

Danica and Tamra below... Taralee and Trace left before I got pictures of them all cleaned up! They had to go to Heber to spend Christmas day with Trace's family.
Brody and the little stuffed reindeer that sings a song. He loved that thing. He'd start the music and just start dancing. It was pretty funny.

Tamra and her Christmas present--a desk for the computer.

Christmas afternoon we drove to Taylor and had dinner at Buffi (Jim's little sister) and Laren's house. Here is Ryan and Karalyn after dinner at the game table.
Buffi and Laren. They were such good hosts for dinner. We are thankful to them for having us.
Jim's mom at the game table. Don't mess with her when she's in the middle of a Rook game. haha
More game players.... David, Paula and their pretty daughter Chani.
Chani's husband Josh, Rustin, and Kalie (Paula's daughter who is Danica's age.) Just chillin' on the couch at Buffi's house after dinner.
That's about it for the Christmas pictures. Danica and Cody left Christmas evening to drive back to the valley. There is a severe winter storm warning out tonight and we were worried they would have trouble getting home tomorrow morning. Danica has to be to work tomorrow at 11 and Cody at 1. So it was better to be safe so we loaded them up and they left. Sad times when everyone has to leave. But we were so thankful they came to be with us and we were all here together, which doesn't happen very often anymore. But we sure enjooy it when they can be here even if it is for just a day.
I
hope everyone had as wonderful a Christmas as we did. I am so thankful for my family members and for the good times we have together! Family is the Best!
