my b-day

Paula and David took us out to dinner for my birthday. We had a great time and enjoyed the visit. She brought me the cutest candlesticks that Megan made. (That Megan is so clever. Check out her talent at http://www.mycutelittlecrafts.blogspot.com) Anyway, after we ate we came home and had brownies and ice cream. Paula made the yummy brownies and the candles covered the whole pan of brownies. Of course she made me light them. ALL of them. So after they were lit, they sang happy birthday to me and then...yep, you guessed it. I got to blow out the candles. We pert near had the smoke alarm going off. check it out...

SO funny. I got a good laugh out of it anyway.

Happy Birthday Tamra! That's the best picture ever...very funny. The kids, especially RaLee, tease us about being old and I just say, "Well there's only one alternative so I'll take another birthday".

Happy Birthday. I am sure you didn't mean to inspire a new Chinese like proverb. "May your years cause the smoke from your candles to resemble a small forest fire."

Pretty humbling day it looks like. But Liz is right, way better than the alternative! When Jon's dad turned 80, it did set off the smoke alarm ... everyone thought it was great fun, except Grandpa!

Happy Birthday ... what was this one, 29?
